Your information hub for research and practice
The Quality Improvement Center on Helplines and Hotlines is a multi-year research and system-improvement project to advance the effectiveness of both CPS hotlines and community helplines. Focusing on these areas will create greater national understanding of the “front door” of child welfare. The Center’s goal is to help mandated reporters and CPS hotline staff make more accurate decisions, to help community helplines improve their programs and practices, and to ensure children, families, and communities get the help they need.
As part of the Center’s work, we will conduct literature reviews, interviews, surveys, and focus groups, all designed to increase understanding and offer improvement strategies to helplines and hotlines.
In the months and years to come, the Center will publish these findings on the website. Other documents to be shared will include summary reports and training materials for counties and states looking to improve the way their hotlines and helplines work together.
